The Beatles or The Beach Boys?

The Beatles early career was better than The Beach Boys early career.

However come 1965 The Beach Boys and Beatles became more and more complex. The Beach Boys however beat out the Beatles in sheer musical complexity (ask your music teacher), and the fact that it's one man (Brian Wilson) vs 4 (Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Martin), and he was still able to out do them all in terms of innovation and complexity (not that complexity = quality i'm just trying to make a point)

Don't even bring up the "Rubber Soul inspired Pet Sounds argument". The Beach Boys Today! came out before Rubber Soul and it was far more complex (at least musically). Bob Dylan and Ravi Shankar inspired Rubber Soul does that mean they are better? No.

I'm clearly bias towards The Beach Boys however i'd like to just make my point clear it was 1 man vs 4 (at least in the 60s, the other Beach Boys didn't really come to in terms of song writing until the early 70s)
