Do you wake people up when they are having nightmares?

My wife is crying in fear in her sleep right now to a nightmare and it irritated me, but she might want to stay asleep to get a good 8 hours straight sleep for all of that christmas cooking she gonna have to do in the morning and all the dishes afterward.

Yes. Why let them continue to suffer? She's not getting a "good sleep" anyway. And how about helping her with the cooking and dishes tomorrow. Don't you trolls ever take a break?

If you wake her up she will be out of her nightmare and go back to sleep peacefully

Fun fact; depending on the stage of sleep your wife is in you could negatively impact her brain by waking her up. Leave it, and try to figure out what she’s talking about. In the morning, if there was a name mentioned, just ask “so hows -x- doing” see how she reacts.
