How do I know whether my oven is self-cleaning or not?

It's made by Frigidaire, but I'm not seeing a model name or number

If your stove has a self-cleaning oven, the temperature control panel would have a self-cleaning button, and just inside your oven towards the top near the opening, you should have a locking arm to seal and lock the oven during the self-cleaning cycle. If you don't see these things, chances are it's not a self-cleaning oven, and you can use regular EASY-OFF oven cleaner in the yellow bottle or can. If you're still not sure, use Fume-Free EASY-OFF for Self-Cleaning ovens in the blue can.

If the oven is clean and there isn't a woman around the house, you probably have a self cleaning oven.

"Self cleaning" just mean you have to clean it yourself! Actually it makes the oven hotter than you would usually use for cooking and it's supposed to burn any food residues away. In practice, it just makes them stick more.

self cleaning ovens typically have a little lever over the door that one has to lock to door closed before initiating the self cleaning cycle. So look for it.

Somewhere on the controls should be a setting for the self cleaning feature. Usually past the highest temperature setting. If it is electronic controls, you may not be able to find the feature.

The sticker with this information of serial/model # is usually found around the oven door when it’s opened. But as one said, there sould be a clean button on the main control panel.

LOOK at the controls. Either there is a 'Clean' setting or their isn't.

The model name should be on the front, the model number should be on the back. If you don't see a 'self-clean' button or knob, it's not self-cleaning.
