you're not terrible, just spiritually illiterate. You don't know that satan hates you so much that he would like you to join him in hell for eternity, where his demons will tear you limb from limb, just for starters. and right now, he is the one that tempts you to sin and ultimately become a terrible person.

You don't understand that it was the eating of an apple, it was the choice to assume that God was lying to them when He told them they would die if they ate of that tree (since it would give them the knowledge of good and bad). Well, they did die spiritually, and could no longer live in paradise.

The Scriptures indicate that the creature known as Satan did not always have that name. Rather, this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking a course of opposition and resistance to God. Jesus Christ said of him: “That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.” (Joh 8:44; 1Jo 3:8) Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it. In the new testament, the Devil, "who is Satan", is translated from Diabolic, which literally means "evil".

The history of religion is more with depth than it is cut with stone among people. This is because people have faith in men, and have not taken the responsibility of self discovery or reading the scriptures for their self.

Because a stone is heavy and falls naturally from a cliff, on to a spider that sat on the Earth below, does this make God evil? Or is it amazing how this organic world/existence works and how the spirit of all things is far beyond this material realm.......

Since God plans to cast him into the lake of fire, which place God created just for him and his fallen angels, I imagine that Satan is the worst of the worst. Does this make you a terrible person? It places you on the path to join Satan for eternity.

Choices. Decisions. Consequences.

No. God doesn't think any of His creations are bad. Jesus debated with Satan as Satan was tempting Him. He could have had the angels cast him back into hell, but He spoke with him as He would have spoken with anybody else. In fact, God won't be the one to crush the head of the serpent as it is written in the book of Revelation, a woman does. The woman cloaked with the sun. The Virgin Mary.

Where did you get your idea of what satan is like? They may be lying to you about what he is like.

Satan's motivation has never made sense to me.

No, it just makes you DECEIVED.

It wasn't ONLY because they ate the fruit in disobedience. But, they listened to the devil, became deceived by believing him, wanted to be god or "a god". Brought on a curse that effected all of humanity, and the earth. They also handed over the dominion God gave him and her when He created them perfect. This also caused separation between Himself and mankind.
