Is a checked bag included with my flight?

I booked an international flight from the US to Australia via Qantas. When I go to baggage it says included baggage: 0kg x2 then when you view more details it says (Up to 23kg/50lb each and 270cm/106in in total) so I'm not exactly sure what that means?

Also!

Next to it, it says carry on allowance: cabin bag combination +1 personal item. What's a cabin bag combination? I assume it's just a small carry-on sized bag that's included?

Sorry! This is my first time flying and besides the paperwork stuff, I'm not exactly sure how any of this work (specifically around baggage/airports).

If you are flying economy, then you should receive 2 free checked bags on this flight - each may way no more than 23kg, or 50lbs. The 3 dimensions of these bags must add to 106 inches or smaller.

You should get 1 carry-on bag (which would go in the overhead compartment) and one personal item (such as a handbag or computer case, which would go under the seat in front of you). The 3 dimensions of the carry-on must add to 45 inches or smaller, and your carry-on bags must be under 15lbs.

It's usually extra. Just make sure it's not overweight or it will be even more.

Go to the Official Qantas website and that will explain things more clearly.
