Not unless you get BONDED and insured - as most reputable dog walking services ARE, and you personally have a background in working with dogs.

Whatever you do with the dog walking, it doesn't look as if you have any dog qualifications which makes you a little naive to be walking other people's dogs.

You most certainly need insurance as you do with your Body Balance classes so you could be spending out quite a lot. You also need some training with dogs and even first aid course etc. Walking other people's dogs and looking after other people's dogs is not as easy as all that. You must understand them and their body language and that comes with age and experience of working with lots of them.

You will need a business license, insurance & get bonded, just to cover your butt in case something happens to the dogs while in your care. Get your tax number, you will need to file quarterly.

Did not expect that did you? You can work under the table but God cannot help you if something happens to any of the dogs. Say a pit appears out of no where & attacks the dog you are walking & the dog is attacked by the pit & killed. Very possible. Maybe you need to think about it more.

Up to you, do you like walking in all weathers, do you have knowledge of dogs and their behaviour, are you reliable..... be prepared to keep accounts as you are self employed and need to file taxes, you will also require to cover the job with insurance, so you will need to phine around and find out best prices ( and you will sooner or later need to use the insurance)

If you can actually get the business going, it is super rewarding and fun. Try going to an elderly community and going door to door. In my experience, I tried to walk dogs in my neighborhood, there were about 6 dogs I walked and only 3 were willing to pay.. $3 per walk. It’s a hard way to actually make money and I would never do it as a main source of income. But there is this new app called “wag” and another one called “Rover” these apps help you get clients from all around. but you have to be 18 or older to apply.

Figure out how much people are willing to pay to get their dogs walked and the figure out how many dogs you can walk in a day. You would make more money at a minimum wage job.
