Would a Jehovah's Witness help me locate an article please?

I remember reading a small paragraph, possibly in a watchtower, not more than a few years ago, about how we needn't be anxious about how the mentally ill handicapped, infirm, disabled or otherwise incapacitated ones will be viewed by Jehovah in the Tribulation and Armageddon.

I wish I could find the explanation regarding it and have searched on the jw.org to no avail.....

Please only answer if you can help, no derogatory remarks, thanks x

Update:

Many thanks to those who have tried to help.

I appreciate your input.

However, 1983 is too far back, while September 2018 is too recent.... 😞

But, truly, thankyou for responding. 😍

(It's a shame that the trolls can't understand the request to keep out tho!😕. But then, if they were able to comprehend, they wouldn't be trolling I suppose....😁😄😂)

    *** w83 7/1 p. 31 Does God Care About the Mentally Ill? ***

“He will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, and the souls of the poor ones he will save.”—Psalm 72:1, 12, 13.

Thankfully all such judgments rest with Jesus and Jehovah.

I believe this is the article you maybe referring to.

September 2018, Almighty Yet Considerate, page 23-27.

    https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/lv/r1/lp-e/0/21499

Paragraph 16 says: Today too, Jehovah cares for his people as a group—spiritually and physically. He will continue to do so during the fast-approaching great tribulation. (Rev. 7:9, 10) Hence, whether young or old, sound in body or disabled, God’s people will not panic or cower in fear during the tribulation.* In fact, they will do the very opposite! They will bear in mind these words of Jesus Christ: “Stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.” (Luke 21:28) They will maintain that confidence even in the face of the attack by Gog—a coalition of nations that will wield far more power than did ancient Pharaoh. (Ezek. 38:2, 14-16) Why will God’s people remain confident? They know that Jehovah does not change. He will again prove to be a caring and considerate Savior.

There is no god, friend. You might want to consider living in reality.

Hopefully, a JW will trawl the official website and find that tiny mention. I thought to go further back than 2000 and consulted my Watchtower Publications Index 1986 - 1990. I checked the headings Armageddon, Disabled, and Great Tribulation. There were plenty mentions of particular disablements JWs have had, and how they dealt with them to pioneer etc, but nothing on the standing of disabled ones come the Great Tribulation and Armageddon. Nothing was said about handicapped people under the other two headings.

When I looked at Mental Illness, there were many publications references, but they were for meetings & service, whether demons may be involved, prevalence and treatment etc but nothing about their situation come the Great Tribulation or Armageddon. However, when I checked my 2001-5 Index there was one reference under Great Tribulation that might help you. It is in "Draw Close to Jehovah" (2002) page258-9 - Jehovah' justice and righteousness. See also pages 73-4 which speaks of protection during it.

This request seems to be akin to looking for a needle in a haystack, but maybe a JW here will have a spiritual 'magnet'!

The September, 2018 Watchtower Study Edition includes a study article entitled “Almighty Yet Considerate." This Bible-based subject matter was studied by all world-wide congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses during the week of November 19, 2018. It considered the way Jehovah made the Hebrews feel safe and secure as He led them out of Egypt and then, through the Red Sea, when the Egyptians were at their rear. Doubtless, among all those hundreds of thousands were old ones, young ones, babes and toddlers, and, yes, the disabled, the sick, and the blind. But the study article took us to the Bible to show how the true God was most considerate and tender with them all.

I will keep looking to find what you may be remembering but for now, that issue/study article is very comforting in reminding us of how Jehovah God took very tender care of his people during their exit from Egypt and through the Red Sea. How much more so can we confidently expect Jehovah God, the father of all tender mercies, to tenderly and protectively deliver His obedient ones through both the Great Tribulation and Armageddon.

The only good JWs are the ones who refuse blood transfusions when they are bleeding out.
