My 5 months old kitten got spooked, ran away... Gone for less than 48 hours. We already made neighborhood and Facebook posts. What can I do?

Could be in heat looking for a mate.
Look under decks, in sheds, closed garages, under porches or crawl spaces. Signs must have huge letters: LOST CAT/PHONE.
Go out at night with cat food, rattling it, calling. Stop, listen, continue.
If she isn't spayed, she may stay out until she finds another cat. Hopefully, he won't be too far away.
Check the shelters by GOING THERE. Post on Craigslist, too. I'm not on Facebook, not everyone is.

Have you gone door to door in your neighborhood? Not everyone is on social media. Someone may have seen - or have - your cat. Was she microchipped? Spayed? No cat should be allowed outdoors until spayed/neutered and microchipped. If she is in heat she has run off looking for a mate. Have you contacted the local shelters and vet offices, asking about a cat matching her description? People turn in strays at both of those. Shelters will generally only hold cats for 3-5 days, then they are either euthanized or offered for adoption. Have you searched the sides of the roads for a body? Under shrubs and decks?
Posting on social media is not the same thing as actively looking for your cat.

It could be shut in someones shed, you will have to knock at doors and ask neighbours to check their gardens and outbuildings. all you can do is keep looking although it is possible someone may have taken her in.
