    Lie a lot. And pretend that you know what your doing.

    You get involved in politics at the local level, such as a county commissioner or mayor. You participate in local party politics as well. In a few years, you run for state office, such as state representative or state senator. Perhaps governor after your first term in the state congress. That would make you someone with national recognition. Then, with the support of your party, you throw your hat in the ring for the U.S. Senate.

    First you must be at least 30 years old; have been a citizens of the United States for the past nine years or longer; and you must be an inhabitant of the state you seek to represent at the time of the election. Then you must raise huge amounts of money and be nominated by a party normally by winning a primary election.

    You have to be 30 years old, a US Citizen for at least 9 years, and a resident of the state you are running. See the link below for the "how to".
