If it suits you and compliments your lips then i guess but pink/ red is more standard

I like pink lipstick better; it just looks better than purple because it would either look like you were punched in the mouth or had a KoolAid spill.

I ABSOLUTELY hate bright red lipstick, but for Valentine's day, maybe that would be the way to go.
