Roseanne did not mean anything racist by her "Planet of the Apes" tweet, any more than Howard Cosell did when he referred to an African-American athlete as a "little monkey". She expressed shock that people took it that way.

I don’t think they should have cancelled her show. That being said, she’s totally insane. In 2012 she ran for president for the Peace & Freedom Party (left of Bernie Sanders). Yet in 2016 became a Zionist Trump supporter. How does that work?
