Many billions of dollars for clean renewable energy development. The Democratic wish list also includes infrastructure repair, college tuition grants, Medicare for all.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad for Trump to get some wall money this way if it could set a precedent for the next Democratic president as a way of obtaining funding.
The problem however is that Republicans would fight it anyway and would actually, for once, present valid arguments as to why it shouldn’t be done. They’ll just copy the Democrats’ arguments.
