Why don't more people use Emerald as a name?

It's cute and Emmy/ Emma is a nickname?

    I really don't know what they don't. This is a fabulous, beautiful name. I certainly would use this.

    I think it's cute too. I like unusual gemstone names like Sapphire and Amethyst. Plus the nicknames make it more mainstream as Emma is very popular. I think it could be a nice choice. I also like Ember and Emmeline.

    I agree! Very cute name! My good friend wants to name her baby girl Emerald when she’s married and has babies.

    Because it's an awful name! I think it's pretentious, tacky, trashy, cringey, flimsy and annoying!

    It's cute. I'm a teacher. I used to have a student with 3 siblings. They were named Emerald, Ruby, Chrystal and Jade.
