Is Minneapolis considered a major city?

    While the city has only about $410,000 people the Minneapolis metropolitan area has over $3m people. The city itself around the 40th largest in the country. The metro area is 16th. You decide if that is 'major'.

    Yes: more than a million people in the metropolitan area.

    I consider it more of a mini apolis, than a major apolis, "polis" being the Greek word for "city" and "apolis" being the suffix for "city."
