Can I fly my drone a 1/4 of a mile close to the end of the radius of an airport?
I live next to 3 airports but I’m just on the edge
of the 5-mile radius. Would it be fine to fly my drone or do I need to contact the airports?

As long as you *DO NOT* cross into the airports restricted zone you should be ok as far as the authorities are concerned. However, being that close to so many airports don't be surprised if members of the public approach you and question your legality.

Ive seen my school fly their Phantom 3 locally without calling or doing anything to see if they are clear. I guess I will be fine unless I do not go SE where the airports and heli pads are.
