Is what I am doing normal?

I have had a wide variety of jobs and each one I hated. I hate them to the point where I have intentionally made myself violently ill or hurt just so I have a reason not to go in. It's cold and flu season and I do what I can to get the flu because that guarantees me a week off from work. I got food poisoning from pizza once accidentally but kept eating so I can remain sick and get out of work. And sometimes I will intentionally hurt myself in the gym so I can get some time off. Is this normal.

No, that's not normal. Find a job you like and stop this foolishness.

Keep it up and you will be out of a job. How do you view work? As something prestigious or as means to live. There's no such thing as a perfect job, just suck it up and you might get a raise.

This is definitely not normal. Go speak to a good counselor and find out what is behind your thinking.

It isn't normal. You should try to find job that you enjoy and you should break this habit of causing yourself problems to get time off, it isn't really a good thing for you to do physically or mentally. If you continue, you can always up in a much worse off condition which can have severe consequences for your life on the whole and not just work, you aren't always in control of your situation, any illness can turn out worse and the same with any injury.

No, it's not. It pretty much sounds of immaturity and laziness. You do this with all jobs you have had?.....I'm surprised the next employer would hire you, considering your employment history. Time to grow up, buttercup.
