Irregular Period Question?
I have very irregular periods. Sometimes it goes for months sometimes it doesn’t come for months. But it’s never really heavy. It’s very hard to figure out and my husband and I are trying to have a baby. I am 26. Beginning of this month I started to get very sore breasts which lasted 3 weeks. So tender I couldn’t even lay on my stomach. I was hot constantly. Most recently I have been incredibly emotional. Usually when I’m PMSing I get really irritable. Then 4 days ago we have sex. The next morning I woke up and started gushing blood. I have been soaking through a super plus tampon in 2 hours. It’s been 3 days of this bleeding. And today I’m so tired that I could barely keep my eyes open at work. The doctor can’t get me in until Friday. And I really don’t want to spend the money on going to the ER.
Anyone have a similar experience or advice?

I understand not wanting to spend money on the ER, but I think you need, at the very least, an x-ray. The amount of blood loss you report having is not normal and could be the result of a ruptured tubal pregnancy. Or an early miscarriage. My sister had a ruptured tubal pregnancy and had blood loss and was in a lot of pain. A co-worker of mine had the blood-loss that you mentioned and she had been pregnant and didn't know it and the blood loss was due to a miscarriage. Regardless, losing as much blood as it sounds like you have lost without seeking treatment can have serious health consequences. The fact that you report being tired is one of the number one symptoms of excessive bleeding. Other symptoms are an increased heart rate along with low blood pressure, dizziness, paleness, and feeling short of breath. Some things are worth the money and at the top of that list is safety and health. If you have those symptoms concurrent with the bleeding you describe, then you are indeed having an emergency and should go to the ER. I hope you are okay and I hope you and your husband are able to successfully conceive.
