Why are the Asians so good at mathematics?

In my experience they arent. I mean that. I actually believe Asians are pretty weak at mathematics, innately. I say that as a mathematics student, working on a graduate degree. Ive seen asians both in primary school as native citizens to this land and as immigrants and as exchange students. And white students. And black students. Ive studied with them, Ive tutored them and been tutored by them, taught them and been taught by them, held discussions with, etc. Ive competed with them for academic performance, etc.

American-Asians, born and raised, say 2nd or 3rd generation, who are fully integrated into American culture, who are a product of the American education system... actually suck quite a bit of **** in mathematics. White students outperform them by and large.

Now, the only time Asians outperform Whites is when they are still members of their asian cultures, disciplined by parents and a school system that puts a large emphasis on academic performance. Well, then you get Asians who study 12 hours a day and do quite well.

But even by comparison to whites they suck. Yes, an Asian might 4.0 a math class and a white student might 3.9 the same class. But the Asian spent 12 hours studying and the White student just listened to lecture once and played video games the rest of the time. One has innate skill, the other doesnt.

Because their parents are so strict with their children and all they care about is education. They spend so much money on education for their children just to get into top schools. Grades matter the most in almost all Asian countries and students study extremely hard, so there is no free time at all for the students. In South Korea, students spend all night doing work for school.

Their nuclear families are still intact. Where there are strong family ties, you will find family support which includes supporting the kids in school. They are encouraged to study by mom and dad, and there is academic competition among the siblings.

When's the last time you sat down together as a family and discussed school with your kids while enjoying evening meal together?

When white families began to disintegrate with both parents working and the kids not coming home right away after school, that's when math and sciences began to decline among the whites.

They study. (Unlike Americans who just play video games)

they are taught educational regurgitation at a young age. Not how to think & solve problems, just how to regurgitate information. That's the main reason they are 'followers' not 'leaders' ...........

Americans are generally proud to be ignorant. It is not just that "Asians" are good at Maths. Other people also are. It is just that Americans suck at it, because they are told that maths is too hard to learn. False.

Just look at how the actual president of the USA is poor at maths.

Because in their country they teach children manners and discipline so they behave better in the classroom and at home it's in their culture to teach children to behave properly and be good listeners they are very strict the majority of the time I want saw a video on YouTube where a little girl got beaten up by three men and she was only 5 years old because she stole 500 rupees look it up on YouTube if you don't believe me they don't stand for fees in that country
