What shoes could I wear with a female Hobbit costume?

I know Hobbits typically don't wear shoes, but I can't just go out barefoot. I was thinking about wearing Mary jane style shoes with white ankle socks, but for some reason I don't think it would look good. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Only small children wear socks with mary janes. Hobbits have hairy feet, so try a pair of shoes made from fake fur

    My sister did this and she found some hobbit feet online for cheap that go over flats and shoes that dont have a large heel.
