Girls aren't always into looks. Personality is HUGE. Also, if a guy is too intense and doesn't have other things in his life that take his time and attention, this will scare the crap out of any healthy girl that wants a well-balanced relationship. Best you can do is better yourself into a guy you want to be. Not because you want a girl, but just to simply be who you want to be. Immerse yourself into things you enjoy big-time. This is the best way to attract someone who will be more apt to genuinely like you for you!
