The Heavenly Father is the father of Jesus, as the Bible plainly teaches in many places. Being the Son of God has it's benefits, as God has made Jesus King, etc., so they both make up the "Godhead", along with the Spirit if God, known as "The Holy Spirit". This is were we get the "Trinity".
