There is no need or desire to bomb Venezuela.

The US does not want to do that. Trump is trying jack up oil prices by threatening Venezuela, a major oil producer, and in the process create uncertainty in future oil supply. High oil prices benefit Russia and Saudi Arabia, 2 countries that have bribed Trump. Trump's excuse is that Maduro is starving his countrymen, but he seems to be okay with Kim Jong Un, even though North Koreans have even less to eat, and Kim is a more oppressive dictator than Maduro.

THe US cannot just take Venezuela's oil by winning a war. A war will simply take Venezuela out of the oil market and reduce overall supply of oil world wide. But even without going to war, oil prices can be jacked up by the threat of war against an oil producing country.
