Change from Semi-Rimless to Rimless eye glasses?

I have always used Rimless light weight glasses. This time I decided to use Semi-Rimless (Half Rimless), unfortunately the glasses are too heavy and they are not as comfortable as the Rimless ones. I want to change the frame to Rimless again. I have already spent good amount of money in high quality lenses. Can I use the same lenses and install them in Rimless frame? Any restrictions on the design of the Rimless frame?

No, they probably can't be used. Your lenses have a groove around them for the nylon line that is holding them in so they would have to be cut down quite a bit to get rid of that groove which you can't have around them in a rimless frame. The rimless frame would have to be a lot smaller than the present glasses.

If they are progressive lenses , they can't be recut at all.

    The shop would be best.

If you are a DIY kind of person on-line glasses offer an alternative for amazing prices.

I use zennioptical.com for my glasses. Start at $7 for single vision. Two week delivery.

Ask the shop where you bought the rimless glasses.
