What does "this job is not active" and "this job has expired" mean?

    It means they filled the position, or they decided to not continue to pursue filling the position, or they got rid of the position that was originally posted as open and "now hiring," but the link to the position was not taken off the website.

    I assume you saw that on a website and it means that the job is no longer open for application, usually because they have found someone for it already. The posting just has not been erased yet.

    Not active suggests being paused or temporarily suspended whereas expired means it has not been completed within the required time and, thus, has ended.

    It means Application filing is closed for that particular job.

    It means you can't apply for the job.

    Job not active means there are no positions available yet.

    Job expired means there was recently a position available, however the application process has now closed.

    The company didn’t renew that particular job offer. Search for the company and job title. They might have forgotten to repost it or they might have hired someone and it didn’t work out
