Does coffee cause weight gain?

I’m 5’10 (70 inches) and weigh 130 lbs. I drink coffee almost every day, especially the Starbucks bottled mocha frappes. If I cut those out could I lose weight? I’m 16 and female btw. I rely on coffee to wake me up and have trouble finding energy without it. I drink 8-10 cups of water a day to counteract this but should I still cut coffee out?

What you are drinking is NOT COFFEE it is a concoction of chemicals.

Try drinking regular coffee not that mocha frappe that has sweeteners and artificial flavors.

That is the stuff that makes you gain weight. Regular coffee is just that. coffee beans ground and hot water. Some add sugar to sweeten or add some milk. DO NOT ADD ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS OR CREAMERS.OR FLAVORS TO THEM. Most of those flavoring are just chemicals.

And at your age of 16 you really should not be drinking coffee anyways.

Coffee doesn't cause weight gain. It's just oil and water. However, those things with 200 calories and 31 grams of sugar could. While Coke has 8 more grams of sugar it has 50 less calories. Black coffee has 1 calorie and of course, no sugar unless you add some.

you shouldn't cut them out because you shouldn't lose any weight. 130 is a low weight for your height and honestly anything lighter could be unhealthy.

To answer your question if you are exercising it could help you to lose weight by cutting out mocha frappes, they have lots of sugar and generally aren't the healthiest.

You don't need to cut of coffee though you weight a perfect amount
