Can you be disciplined for a high Bradford score if you have a sickline?

My work are very strict when it comes to being off sick. My Bradford factor score was at 256 now I’m off sick for a week with a sickline due to conjunctivitis and tonsillitis. I’m a carer with people who have dementia and there’s no way I could have went in to work as I would be putting others at risk. Will my employer take this into consideration?? I’ve been disciplined before for being off sick in hospital and been told to attend a disciplinary meeting despite the illness being out of my hands. Is there anyway I can take this further??

It makes no difference in the U.K. even if you are in hospital at deaths door.

I worked for a Company who used this scoring. You are off work, that is all they care about. My friend was sacked because he had a broken leg, they just add up the days.
