i was hit by a uninsured driver. owner claimed car was being cleaned but his insurance paid for the bike. will the MIB deal with rest?

i was hit in the rear at lights. Driver doesnt have insurance but the owner does.
Owner claimed the car was 300 miles away being cleaned but no proof
The owners insurance paid for my bike and said if the valet company wont cover it they will sort the rest.

Instead my solicitors ignored that and sent it to the MIB will MIB deal with it or send it back? Its been with them about 4 months

If you didn't report it to police, you are supposed to and you have 14 days to do so from the date of the accident.
