Can Liberals explain to me in detail how Russia caused Hillary to lose to Trump?

Hillary Clinton appeared several weeks before the elections to have the presidency won, but then out came a report from a supposedly knowledgeable source about her illegally using her email account to send government emails which were supposed to be confidential without encryption. This news suggested she was to be arrested so people changed their position and voted for Trump. Neither candidate was squeaky clean and a lot of dirty laundry was laundered but it appears as so Hillary was the loser.

The fact is both the USA and Russia discretely interfere in other countries elections to get a leader more sympathetic to their needs and I remember back in the 1970s America was accused of interfering in the Australian elections to get the Liberal party elected as they felt the Labour party was not going to honour their commitment to America to send troops to war zones to help America. The Labour party also was saying they would kick American secret satellite and submarine communication bases out of Australia which would have left America with a big black hole in their international spying and submarine communications on this side of the planet.

Apparently there is evidence that maybe the Trump election campaign was tainted with Russian involvement as I have no doubt Trump would use any means to get what he wants, and he seems to sack any government person in charge of any investigation to try and find more evidence of Russia assisting the Trump campaign. He appears to be trying to block any investigation into any investigation against him, which suggests there may be some truth in what they say.

By posting lies on the Internet to trick Americans into voting for him instead of her -- although not many of them, since more voted for her than for him.
