Is being on both nexplanon (the implant) and birth control pills at the same time double protection against becoming pregnant?
So I got the implant put in in October and I’ve had my period for 110 days so my doctor prescribed me the pill to go on at the same time to get rid of my period. The period has gone away thank god, but is taking the pill while having the implant in “double protection” against becoming pregnant since they’re both birth control? Or do the pills have no effect on this?

Hiya, i was wondering how long it took for the bleeding to stop once you started the pill as well as i have just been put on the pill as well as an implant for the same reason!
In answer to your question i dont think its extra protection think its just the same coz the implant is already meant to be 99% affective
