Christians, do we have grace for baby shakers on side of accountability?

I suffered 5 years of increasingly deepening depression after childbirth. It became unbearable after the second baby was born. At that time, I thought I was a Christian, but discovered through my awful treatment of my babies that I was not. Yet God used that to bring me to the point of crying out in desperation for His help, for I was on the brink of ending my life, such was my depression and guilt. After I cried out to Him, God raised up Christians who I met, and who got me thinking.

It took 2 years of intensive investigation into what Christianity actually is, and who Christ actually is, before I became a Christian. God dealt first with the spiritual problem I had, then the mental problem (depression) was dealt with. I know I am forgiven. My grown-up children have forgiven me too. God showed grace to me, one who sometimes shook my youngest baby, and although what I did was appalling, God's grace was given to me so that I repented of that and all my other sins, kneeling at the foot of the empty cross, where I became a Christian. That dark time was nearly 50 years ago but for well over 40 years I have been walking in the light and the grace of God.

We can't offer anyone grace. Only our Father can do that.

Matthew 18:6. No, Christ had no tolerance for anyone who would harm a child.
