My blood pressure went up for no reason?
My blood pressure has gone up for no reason. I have had a headache for a whole week and no pills work. Last month it was 120/80 and yesterday it was 142/98. I never had a problem with my blood pressure before it just went up all of a sudden. I have been emotionally stressed/depressed for a while and I haven’t been eating a lot I went to urgent care yesterday and they said everything was normal except my urine and blood pressure. She said that my urine had ketones in it because I haven’t been eating, idk if that what’s causing it or if it’s duebto stress. What do you all think?

It actually did go up for a reason. You were stressed. Stress can greatly increase your blood pressure no matter how healthy you eat. Use some relaxing techniques

There are many reasons as to why one s blood pressure would increase for what seems like no reason. Stress, such as the kind that you are describing, could quite possibly be the reason that your blood pressure is elevated. Physical and mental stress have both been linked to having an elevated blood pressure. There are people who get stressed out just because the doctor is taking their blood pressure and this could lead to a higher reading. Your problem seems 2-pronged, in that you are feeling mental stress and that is causing physical stress because your are not eating. Find ways to help yourself alleviate that stress, whether that s by yourself your through professional resources. . If after you are feeling like that level of stress has decreased but your blood pressure has remained elevated, you may want to consult your doctor about starting a blood pressure medication.
