We exist because everything in the universe that exist must change and we happen to be one form of it.
We could with the correct equipment live on Mars or we could nuke it and wait for the atmosphere to build and then turn it into our home. That would take decades though. We can't see oxygen. But we can detect it.
Lightning does strike planes. It's dangerous. But one of the main things you can't prepare for.

Why do we exist?
No particular reason. We exist because evolution created us. Conditions favored us.
can we live on mars?
No. But if we take earth-like conditions there (in a closed sealed habitat, we can live in that habitat.
can we see Oxygen?
No. Oxygen is a colorless gas
Can lightning strike on a plane?
Yes. It often does. But usually does not affect the operation of the aircraft.

Yes, but you need to bring a bit (actually, a LOT) of Earth's environment with you.
Yes. When liquefied, it is a pale blue fluid.
