Suggestions for work boots?

I stand and walk on concrete for 9 hours give or take and it’s gotten to where my feet absolutely kill me after only a couple hours each day. Any suggestions for some good boots with some good support/cushion, whatever would help?

    I have very wide feet!

I have always hated wearing boots or hard shoes. A couple of years ago, I got a black pair of "Wolverines" and then conditioned them with "Naturseal waterproofing and conditioner". I have been wearing them 5 days a week on concrete ever since and they are amazing. Best boots I have ever owned and since I am 57 and have worked this way all of my life, that means something.

If the boots are tall enough inside. A 3/8th thick rubber pad like used on floors were people need stand all day. Also good shoes & galosh's over them. They snap up at the front to protect shoes.

Many Drugstores and stores with a Drug department like Wal Mart have a machine You stand on that tells You the correct insoles for You . The insoles are expensive but they work .

It is all about the insoles.

Also, if you have large feet, you can buy cheap rubber heels which fit inside that really help out a lot and cushion your heels. Ever seen how most factories uses rubber pads by machinery where people stand all day? Well these are portable.

Beyond that, it is worth paying for good socks in the right size. I assume you already wear two pairs, so make sure at least one of them has padded heels and toes. These work socks are far superior to cheap tube socks.

Ignore the guy who says cowboy boots. High heels are for strippers.

I'd suggest Cowboy Boots, those may help.

However, I'd also suggest purchasing Reebok Men's Rapid Response 8 Inch Composite Toe Zip Boot, it's a light brown, may not be the best color for a boot, but it'll most likely help. It looks to be somewhat expensive, but it's definitely worth buying. Or, try purchasing some Non rough cowboy boots.

Do you have to wear boots? There are some pretty good shoes that you should consider.

If you can afford them, Red Wing boots are about as good as you can get. I've worn out 2or 3 pairs of them over the years.

If they are cheap boots, nothing will Help for long. If not, try David's idea.

A good quality gel insole will probably help more than a new pair of boots.
