How can I start a dead-end band?

You sound like Nirvana- the band never wanted to be famous- decades later teens wear their band shirt like they never ended. I would suggest doing only covers of songs and make it clear you don't want to grow much in music. Try open mic nights- people go and perform what they want (comedy, music, stories, I do poetry) and it's just a get together and it's fun. Nobody does it for fame or ****- just because it's fun. To do so in a chick-fil-a, if it's a small town, not much chance of fame. I live in a city with a pop. of 56,000 and, in my opinion, you would get too much popularity if you were to perform at a café in my city (Port Orange, FL) All the best and I hope this helps, Matthew.
