If you like red velvet cake, why? (Serious question.)?

Update:

To me, the cake part just tastes like any chocolate cake made with cocoa. I do LOVE the frosting. Does the red color make it seem more special?

    I have never made a red velvet cake. I think it's more an American cake.

    love it and the cupcakes...our favorite Easter dessert..my favorite...tasty and appealing to see! With cream cheese frosting..I love it

    In essence, red velvet cake is chocolate cake...with food coloring. So, I like red velvet cake because I like chocolate cake.

    I like red velvet cake because the butter cream frosting melts in my mouth and the sponge is fluffy and lovely tasting. It is one of my favourite desserts and i often buy the little red velvet cupcakes. The colour makes it stand out more.
