It would have been thrown out of court. The manufacturer of the mask might have had a chance at a case, but not Shatner himself since the mask was a commercial product sold in stores.

Had he won the suit, producers would have to use a different design for Michael's mask.

They may of tried to come to some kind of agreement and paid Shatner for using that particular mask or something but im sure either way theyd of came up with some kinda arrangement
