Are ghosts real?

Popeye said that he believed in ghosts and spirits until he found out that there weren't any.

A friend was in assisted living, and he said that during the night, he heard a (whatever) calling his name. This happened several times He could sense that ( whatever) was friendly and meant no harm.

He asked the staff if someone who was in this room previously had died in there,

but of course, no one knew a thing

The phenomena we CALL "Ghosts" (when not a hallucination, illusion, etc.) are often REAL--especially if two or more people observe it, but that it is NO proof that what was observed is a "Spirit of the dead"(Ghost)---Just something unknown by present day Science---which humanity will always occasionally observe until our Science truly DOES "know everything"------Reality is not limited by what we already know about.----"Scientific "Loose ends" make people "uncomfortable", so they HAVE to give them names or attribute them to "unknowns" like "GHOSTS or Spirits"------So that's where "Ghosts" come from---Natural stuff we don't know about yet and a way to "Explain it"

No, they certainly are not real. Scientists have never found any evidence that they exist.

It is virtually certain ghosts are not real. Most open-minded people, after examing all the evidence pro and con, come to that conclusion. A good rule of thumb when reading the anecdotes like those above "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear or read." You can apply that rule to much more than ghosts.

If you mean like dead people still walking around, no, but can make for a good spooky horror story.

not as in souls of departed humans sticking around haunting and such... or coming back for visits.... that does not happen........... what are seen as "ghosts' are, in fact, manifestations of the forces of evil.... those forces can mimic humans perfectly.... but they have no good intent... any contact with the forces of evil is a great danger
