Did CBT work for anyone?
I am having a second course of therapy at the moment but do not think it is helping me at all, I do not think me and this therapist have clicked, as I could not see the first one again. I am using the nhs for the therapy and only got 2 sessions left.
The first time I went I actually looked forward to going but this time I dread going. I feel worse now than I did before I started this course

It works for a lot of people, because it's intended to focus on and deal with a specific problem, not comb through your entire life in search of explanations for who and what you are. If that's not what your therapist is doing, she's not giving you CBT.

Your doctor is in a better job position to judge your needs than anyone here. The people here aren't expert enough to answer questions that should only be answered by a doctor familiar with an individual patient.
