Can I eat mature cheeses?

I'm severely allergic to penicillin and some people have told me I can't have stuff like blue cheese. Others tell me it's safe, but I don't want to take that chance. Is there someone who is allergic to penicillin that can confirm that it is indeed safe? I've missed out on eating so many different kinds of food because of this.

Penicillin comes from the mold spores of citrus fruits, not cheese. You might want to read up on penicillin, and make sure you know all its sources.

What other kind of foods are you talking about ? It is only some cheeses that have this and surely you can live your life without them.
