One of them has been Mohammad. There have been a number of others, but I think that it was he that Christ spoke about when He said that the false prophet would mislead many.

In the future, Satan will attempt a one world religion. A satanic dictator will come to power and unify most of the world. The dictator will also have a religious assistant. The religious assistant will convince most of the world to worship the dictator. The assistant will also convince people to make an Idol of the dictator. People will carry this idol everywhere and will worship it. Eventually those who refuse to worship the dictator will be put to death. Everyone will be commanded to pledge loyalty to the dictator and accept a permanent mark or brand on their body. Those who refuse the mark will not be able to buy or sell.

The religious assistant is the false prophet.
