There are some home remedies online that seem cheap enough to be worth a try.

Mix warm water and a citrus-based dish detergent (orange or lemon). At a splash of mouthwash. Stir to blend (if you shake, you get bubbles) and fill a spray bottle. Use the spray on plants and walls.

Keep your lawn mowed short; they like long grass.

Spray exterior doors with insect spray.

Remove mulch near the house; it's a great place to lay eggs.

Make a spray out of lemon oil, eucalyptus oil, or peppermint oil mixed with water. Spray non-porous surfaces inside the house (not on upholstered furniture) and on plants.

Use strong fans to keep air moving so strongly they can't fly.

Eliminate pockets of moisture in your home and ventilate the areas well, until they're fully dry. (A slow drip from the washer, not worth fixing, or a place where there's condensation, are examples.)
