    I’ve never used water in brownies, you must be making a mix.

    Substitute any other fluid. If it were me, I’d do milk. If you don’t have milk, orange juice might be interesting...

    I've never used water in my brownies!. Milk, melted butter, or oil, but no water!

    You can use any ..well almost..any liquid you want. Milk, water, amaretto, coconut water, coconut milk, cherry juice, almond milk, rum, ......and on and on...

    (I would not use chicken broth, beef broth, or any other savory liquid, I personally would not use wine)
