    Interpreted in accord with the PEMDAS rules:

    (y-3)^2/1 - (x+2)^2/4 = 1

    is a hyperbola whose asymptotes can be found as:

    (y-3)² - (x+2)²/4 = 0

    [(y-3) + (x+2)/2][(y-3) - (x+2)/2] = 0

    y = 2 - x/2

    y = 4 + x/2

    The slant asymptotes of the hyperbola are the lines:

    y = 2 - x/2

    y = 4 + x/2
