    a) Use Pythagorean Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

    5^2 + 12^2 = c^2

    25 + 144 = c^2

    c^2 = 169

    c = 13

    ZX is equal to 13 cm.

    For angle ZXY, all angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

    Angle ZXY = 180 - 90(the right angle) - 23 = 67 degrees

    b) If the hypotenuse is 6.5 m, then you divide 650 cm / 13 cm to get the actual scale.

    Scale = 650 / 13 = 50

    For meters(m) to centimeters(cm) conversion, every 100 centimeters equals a meter.

    100 cm = 1 m

    From there, add 6.5 and the other sides that are multiplied by 50.

    Perimeter = 6.5m + 0.05m(50) + 0.12m(50) = 6.5m + 2.5m + 6m = 15m

    c) The scale factor was already calculated in part b, 650 / 13 = 50.

    d) Complete the areas for both of them and then compare them after.

    Area of a triangle = 1/2 bh

    Area of scale drawing = 1/2 (12 cm)(5 cm) = 30 cm^2

    Area of actual garden = 1/2 (600 cm)(250 cm) = 75000 cm^2

    Ratio = 75000/30 = 2500

    Hope this helped!
