Aftermarket DVD Rewriter drive Installation notes.?

Installed an aftermarket DVD Rewriter drive. Got confused by installation questions about disc compatibility with the installation defaulting to RAM disc. These disc are NOT that widespread within the United Kingdom, what can I do.

You don't need to do anything, unless you plan on using the disc authoring software that came with it, in which case providing the name of that software would be needed to help you change the setting. It doesn't affect anything if you are using Windows Explorer or another application to make discs. DVD drives are generic and do not require a driver.

Your DVD Rewriter is not a RAM disc. It is a removable optical drive. Uninstall then try again.
