If atheism or atheists belief in science explain this?

I'm a retired engineer with a lifelong scientific worldview and you need to understand that people like me do not "believe in" anything. People who are scientifically inclined embrace legitimate factual knowledge and avoid unsubstantiated beliefs like the plague of willful ignorance they actually are.

We don't have to "believe" in science - science is a methodology of testing based on observable and repeatable experimentation, which then has its results peer-reviewed to check. There is nothing to believe in: the results are either true or not.
