Electrical supply systems in the uk?

what are all the different voltages used, how is the system earthed and the industries that use Higher Voltages And last but not least how is the system connected together I.e ringed or radial? Plzzzz help me

    I'm not an expert....

    220-240 volts 50 Hz single phase is the common house voltage used thru the UK. Actual spec is 216.2–253.0 V. Three wires are connected to each outlet, hot, neutral, and ground. The ground is connected to earth ground either via a copper rod at the house or from the utility company.

    Three phase wiring is used in larger residences, apartment buildings, etc.

    Higher voltages such as 440-480 volts are used by factories that need more power than that easily supplied by a 220 volt line. Also higher voltages are in use.

    Connections: Both ring and radial are in use.
