If I pass a CLEP test in high school, can that count for high school credit to to be used to graduate from high school early in California?

I've talked to people who said they took AP courses which also could be counted towards the credits a high school student needed to graduate. I was wondering if the same could be said for CLEP tests if someone wants to graduate early in California? I know you need 230 credits to graduate. So if some people who were knowledgeable enough to take and pass the CLEP tests and didn't want to have to take a class for a semester to get the credits, could they do it?

AP courses always count toward graduation from high school. AP tests don't substitute for taking the courses. I doubt that CLEP tests would either, but that depends on the policies of your school and your school district.
