What is better, living alone and lonely or with a single mother?

Depends what you like. I have no issues living alone. I love the quiet and am totally fine being on my own for months at a time with the only contact of people is at work. I am an only child that is introverted. Currently, I live with my boyfriend who is the opposite and has always lived with his family or friends. He does not enjoy even a few hours of being alone. He is extroverted and enjoys people. We would have different answers. Find out what you're comfortable with. Though the fact you describe living alone as lonely and not freeing leads me to believe you enjoy companionship.

I would rather live alone than with MY mother. But years ago I dated a few single moms and I found them mostly very nice. I liked the kids too!
