Is okay for fingers to touch outside rim of the water bottle? Is this issue an example of a germaphobe?

I was opening water and my finger touched the outside rim. So is that okay? Also when I put the cap back on the bottle my finger touch the inside part so it that also ok too? So these incidents will not cause any health issues when I drink from my water bottle and I will be okay?

If you were such a germaphobe, your fingers would have been clean when they touched the rim. Having said that, if your fingers weren't clean you still should be OK. We touch germy things all day, take coins for example, or shopping trolley handles or public transport, you can catch germs but most of the time, we're immune to them.
